[Opinions] Alexandra
WDYT of this name... and what middle name would you put with it?
Please don't suggest Grace, Rose, Marie or Elizabeth.
Thanks!

I may be the only one...but I am SO sick of seeing Alex- names every time I turn around. I guess its better than Alexis or anything else, but still, I cant stand seeing these names. As far as mn, I would suggest using something shorter, possible one syllable, especially if the surname would be longer. I cant think of any, I cant seem to focus on much right now.

I don't like Alex- names for girls. The only Alex- name I like is Alexander.

I am not a fan of other Alex names either.
Alexa, Alexis et al are getting so overused.
If we were to use Alexandra, it would be just that.. Alexandra.
I know there are nay sayers out there that say she'd definitely have a nick name eventually... but that's not necessarily the case.
I have a cousin Katherine...she's 22 now and NO nn whatsoever.
I have a niece Cassandra... she's 12 and no nickname.
It is possible.
Thanks for you input.

I dont believe that nn's are a must. I am really loathing the fact that most people here seem to think its going to happen to matter what. I know many people with a full name that gets shorten a lot, but wont let it. They say their parents always called them by their full name, so thats what they always went by. If they ever used a nn it was a SO or a best friend since childhood kind of deal.
Either way, I think Alexandra is the best Alex- choice, and with no nn, I am liking it more. However, I am still sick of hearing Alex- names in general.I'm not great with making combos, espeicially for girls, but here are some I thought of:Alexandra Clare
Alexandra Gail
Alexandra Leigh
Alexandra Noelle

Thanks... Alexandra Leigh (or Lee) is something I have considered.

Alexandra is a nice name. I love the nicknames Alexa and Alexis. Alex sounds to masculine to use on a girl.

I like Alexandra a lot, it's very pretty and classic without beign either outdated or really trendy. It needs a simple mn, because it's so long, so here's a few:Camille, Coral, Charlene, Eve, Faye, Faith, Felice, Hope, Ivy, Joy, Jane, Jean, Kathleen, Louise, Lauren, Lucille, Margot, Noelle, Opal, Paige, Pearl, Susan, Estelle, Shelby.

I love it. I wouldn't use it, it's a bit popular for me. (Rather interesting, too- it was in the 300s in the 1970s...and 87 in the 1980s. Huge jump!)Combos:
Alexandra Celeste
Alexandra Emilia
Alexandra Helen
Alexandra Joy
Alexandra Judith
Alexandra Lux
Alexandra Nyx

OH yeah... and nothing starting w/ S. Our ln begins w/ S and that would make some terrible initials! Thanks.
