Favorite. :-DUnfortunately it reminds my husband of an old German, so it's out. I really like Reuben Emanuel.

I`ve adored Reuben since I can remember. It`s such a unique sound. Yeah there`s the sandwich, but you know what? Reuben sandwiches are delicious. Plus I don`t think most kids know of it. I hate when people spell it Ruben, I feel like it takes something away. Unfortunately finding combos is hard since it`s so incredibly Biblical that I don`t want an Old Testament overdose, yet it culture clashes to put it with anything else. So far all I have is Reuben John.

Reminds me of Ruben Studdard the American Idol winner.

I'm trying so hard not to say "sandwich" or "The Partridge Family's manager", because I think that associations are too easily come by and that if one wants to start letting associations wreck names, the list of wrecked names will become far too long. So, those associations aside, (I swear I'm not thinking of them), I don't find that I like the sound of Reuben.

I suppose it could be worse, but I've never liked it. I don't even like a Reuben sandwich.

Maybe you'd like mine. My husband was a fairly picky eater, but he loved my Reuben sandwiches. He ordered them in restaurants, but always said that none came close to mine. He'd say to me, "You make a mean Reuben."

Isn't it weird how some people can prepare foods you hate in just the right way so you'll eat them? I hate cooked carrots, but my brother-in-law is such a good cook, I'll eat the ones he makes. I don't know what he does, but he just makes them taste better.

I never used to like it much because I only thought of the sandwich (not that it's a bad sandwich)! But I like it more now, it's a very warm name. I don't have any Reuben combos with it as a fn, but I have the combo Casimir Reuben that I like.

I love the name Reuben and was just thinking about it earlier today. As for combos, I think there are a lot of names that would work well with it, I just don't have time to list them all!

I like it though it does make me think of the sandwich but it was my great grandpa's first name though he went by his middle, and my step-great grandpa (but the only one I knew)'s name so it is special to me and I may be a bit bias but I like it. I don't have a made combo on hand but my great grandfathers were Reuben Everett and Reuben Franklin.
