[Opinions] Triplet names to go with Theodore
My husband and I are expecting triplets (two boys, one girl) in early May, and so far we only have one name - Theodore. Please don't comment on that name choice. It won't be changing. :) We're leaning toward Michael as a middle name, but we're not set on it. We're getting a little desperate about the other two names. I have a few ideas for the boy - Malcolm, Oliver, Simon and Elliott, but I really can't make up my mind or figure out a middle name. For the girl, I'm absolutely drawing a blank. When I was younger, I loved all the cute, girly names - Emma, Lucy, Grace, Lily, etc., but now I'm not so sure. Any advice and ideas would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you all so much!!I can't believe I didn't think of Matilda! It's definitely at the top of my list now. A friend also let me in on the Alvin, Simon and Theodore thing (I hadn't heard of them since I was a kid), so I'm leaning toward Oliver right now, and considering still considering Malcolm if my husband doesn't warm up to Matilda. Thanks again!

Theodore has a formal, old-timey feel, so boys names that come to mind are:Archibald "Archie"
Maximilian "Maxim"
Arnold
Robert - a bit more modernly viable
Eugene - one of my favourites
Christopher -really respectable if not shortened to Chris
Alfred - Tennyson's name, so also respectableOf your choices, I like Simon. I think it goes nicely. For girls, you could pick a short, pretty, old-fashioned name: Martha, Lisa.... Wendy? (just throwing it out there)Or something like Jessica, with its stately sound and Shakespeare connections (if you can get past the 90s popularity)

OH Malcolm! Theodore, Malcolm, and ? would be lovely. As for the girl, the names you have listed are all beautiful but at the moment way more common, and a bit trendy honestly, and will quickly become dated while Theodore and Malcolm (and the other three, but I'm pulling for Malcolm or Oliver. Simon has always felt a bit snobby to me and Elliott childish) will stay classic. I'd suggest finding another under-used classic. How about:
Adelaide
Antonia
Lucinda
Rosalind
Meredith
Estella
Helena
Evangeline
Rosalie
Bridget
Clara
Alma
Alba
Camilla
Joy
Delia
Fae
Nola
Elena
Maeve
Iris
Jana
Vera
Phoebe
Susanna
Rita
Lydia
Fiona
Diana
Felicity
Eliza
Georgia
Gloria
Juliet
Leona
Louisa
Selma
ReginaAnd for the boys:
Edmund
George
Louis
Henry
Frederick
Wilhelm
Desmond
Abram
Victor
Quentin
Phillip

I would avoid Simon and Theodore together because those are two of the characters from Alvin and The Chipmunks(Alvin, Simon, Theodore).Malcolm, Oliver and Elliott are all lovely. I think Oliver goes best with Theodore. You could use one of the others as a middle name - e.g. Oliver Malcolm.I love Theodore, by the way. I think of it as a classy, old fashioned name, so I might consider a similar style of name for the other two. Here are some names which I consider classy, old fashioned names which go with Theodore.Boys:
Frederick
Henry
George
Rupert
Montgomery
Harvey
Timothy
Girls:
Florence
Constance
Harriet
Mabel
Hazel
Esther
Lucinda
Evangeline
Emmeline
CeceliaIf you like cute girly names, you could go with a longer formalname with a cute nickname. e.g. Emmeline can be shortened to Emma or Emmy. Lucinda can be shortened to Lucy.

Wow Triplets! That's so cool. Theodore Michael is a wonderful name. I think any of your boy name choices I think they all go really well with Theodore especially Simon and Oliver. Your girl names are all lovely as well but feel a bit boring and commonplace next to your boy names. Some suggestions:
Benjamin
Calvin
Felix
Gabriel
Henry
Julian
Miles
William Alice
Annabel
Clara
Lila
Lydia
Madeline
Matilda
Ruby
Stella
