6 months after adoption:
Jessica and Jennifer have adjusted nicely. They have become very good friends with our daughter Dahlia and they like to hang out together. Jessica was very happy to find out that her new father is an artist, because she loves drawing and is quite talented. Jennifer is taking singing lessons and is attending a book club in her school . The twins' physical health has been quite good, Jessica has been in hospital once because of a lung infection but is now better. We hope that with the proper treatment the girls can have a happy and long life.
Adam likes to be called "AJ". He and his three friends from special needs school have a rock band. He also enjoys playing video games with his new siblings. AJ still has some emotional problems because of his abusive background, but with the help of his therapist he's feeling much better now than he did before.
Peter has had a hard time adjusting, but has finally found his place in our family. He's actually very proud of being the big brother, especially to AJ who really admires him. Peter's dream is to become a movie director someday. Peter is having therapy and medication for his bi-polar disorder and depression, and although he sometimes has hard times, we believe that he can live a good and productive life. He will always have a loving family to support him.

One year later
Taylor has grown into a smiling toddler with curly red hair. Already she likes to go with Edmund on his photo expeditions. She wanders off quickly if he's not keeping an eye on her! Her biological mother, Gabby, is very sweet. She tries to visit at least once a month.
Justin's birth mom, Jennifer, comes with Gabby to visit. We are all proud of him because he is about to start preschool. He is shy with strangers, although he warms to them quickly. He likes to "read" books to me when it's his bedtime.
Jackson is still wary of strangers, but he is doing better thanks to his counseling sessions. He does well in school and likes to run and be outside. We let him get a dog, which he named Shadow. Renwick, our cat, and Shadow follow Jack all around the house and yard.
Recently, we enrolled Kayla in a Triple Threat class. She loves it! She already talks about being in high school plays. She has also developed a special bond with Jack. She shows him what she learned in Triple Threat, and he'll show her a new trick he taught Shadow.
As a family, we took the kids to a couple state parks and camped in a rented RV. We are saving our bigger traveling plans until Justin and Taylor are older. I also recently found out I was expecting. Edmund, Kayla, Jack, Justin, and Taylor can't wait to have a new addition to our family!
Taylor has grown into a smiling toddler with curly red hair. Already she likes to go with Edmund on his photo expeditions. She wanders off quickly if he's not keeping an eye on her! Her biological mother, Gabby, is very sweet. She tries to visit at least once a month.
Justin's birth mom, Jennifer, comes with Gabby to visit. We are all proud of him because he is about to start preschool. He is shy with strangers, although he warms to them quickly. He likes to "read" books to me when it's his bedtime.
Jackson is still wary of strangers, but he is doing better thanks to his counseling sessions. He does well in school and likes to run and be outside. We let him get a dog, which he named Shadow. Renwick, our cat, and Shadow follow Jack all around the house and yard.
Recently, we enrolled Kayla in a Triple Threat class. She loves it! She already talks about being in high school plays. She has also developed a special bond with Jack. She shows him what she learned in Triple Threat, and he'll show her a new trick he taught Shadow.
As a family, we took the kids to a couple state parks and camped in a rented RV. We are saving our bigger traveling plans until Justin and Taylor are older. I also recently found out I was expecting. Edmund, Kayla, Jack, Justin, and Taylor can't wait to have a new addition to our family!

Its been two years and life is going good. Isabelle as always is helping Catherine play paper dolls, where she draws the dolls and outfits and Catherine controls the whole thing. Isabelle's cat Lydi is uselly sitting on her sholders, watching atentivly to see if there are any strings to bat. Caroline is at cheerleading practice as head cheerleder. she also dances and iceskates with Rebecca. Rebecca is reading a book I resently wrote that wont be published for a year. Rebecca is wonderful for disusing plot with. Rebecca and Edward are probly the most alike, they both love reading and hockey. But Edward's favorite thing to do is watch TV with Bryant. Our family is doing quite well these days.
When we adopted the twins, we renamed them as Juliet Elizabeth "Julia", and Adrienne Margaret "Addi". The girls are now two years old, and they love playing with their big sister Mallory, who is now six.
Julia is more motherly, and tends to lean towards staying around me and helping me do laundry and watch me cook, while Addi gravitates more towards Hunter and Chase and loves to go play outside with her big brothers and her daddy.
When we welcomed Isaac Daniel, we renamed him as Isaac Huckleberry "Huck".
Huck loves his Mama and his Daddy, and he absolutely CRAVES time with his big brother Chase. Huck is a typical three-year-old boy, who loves to play with fire trucks and dig up everything he's big enough to in the back yard.

Dear Rachel Dianne,
It's been two years since we adopted the kids, and now we couldn't picture life without them. We changed the spelling of our dynamic carrot's name to Kayleigh, which she seems to have appreciated, since she recently learnt to write her name and was proud to inform us she was glad it was nothing like her favourite infant school enemy's, Lee. She also seems to have talked Zoe into giving her fashion tips for her dolls, so that I can follow them and knits clothes for said dolls. Kayleigh seems to be a football fanatic too - I suspect that's Ewan's doing. Another of her hobbies is playing with Alfie (who sleeps next to her) and Rosie, and she is constantly asking Cara to teach her how to draw better.
Sam decided to keep the baby, and now we have a very cute grandson named Dylan Harry who looks just like his mum. He and Kayleigh love to wreak havoc, but fortunately the house is childproof. We are all crazy about him, and though it's hard for Sam to be away from Dylan, she got a job at a call centre. Of course we'd like her to continue her education, but she knows what she wants and she'd rather work than study. In their free time, Sam and Cara are writing a book. They won't let us read it until it's ready, though. I don't know if it's just for fun or if they are actually aiming at getting it published.

2 years later
It's been two years since Alexandrine, Henri, & Leo joined us, here in Amsterdam. Alix, Henri, and Leo were not as clingy to eachother as Amira, Levi, Yoni, & Adi were but all three were a bit afraid to go to sleep in a room all by their selfs, as they were used to sleeping in rooms with many other people. So for the first few weeks I slept in the room with Leo, Tony slept in the room with Henri, and Caroline slept in the room with Alix (we wanted to use Julie but then we didn't want to leave the twins up there by themselves). After a while they were able to sleep in their own room by themselves. Alix still gets the occasional nightmare but she knows we will take care of her so if she can't fall asleep she comes to get me and I read her a book (her favorite book is Nina, Nina Ballerina). Thank you so much!!

It's been a year since Sam and Lauren joined the family. Sam is a very cute and outgoing little boy who loves Heather very much and he's jealous of the other members of his family who spend time with her. He likes meeting new people and playing with other children. He has many friends. Lauren isn't as outgoing and social as her brother, she prefers watching movies with Ryan and playing with 15 year old Lily's make up and clothes. Lily loves her new siblings very much and likes playing with them.
