Middle name for Jane
The more I think about it, the more I like the name Jane as a first name. Maybe it's because my own first name is so long and inevitably prompts the question "Yeah, but what do you go by? Liz, Beth...?" that I gravitate toward shorter names or those with obvious nicknames. In any case, I like how direct and to the point Jane is, and I appreciate the historical and literary significance too. But would a potential daughter like said name? Would she feel the opposite of me (that her name is too short)? Would the inevitable "plain Jane" and "Jane Doe" associations be annoying? What do you think? What middle name(s) would you partner with it?Since my last name is just four letters long, I would want something longer than four letters or one syllable. And probably something a little more "out there."Like maybe Jane Minerva, Jane Lorelei, Jane Seraphina, Jane Ursula. Then again, maybe something more classic like Jane Margaret, Jane Alexandra, Jane Katherine, etc. Or maybe somewhere in between like Jane Simone.

Jane was in my Top 10 for some time. I love its classic simplicity that still doesn't go overlooked. But I agree that Jane really needs a middle name that "pops":Jane Adelaide
Jane Alexandra (I agree with this one)
Jane Electra
Jane Eloisa
Jane Imelda
Jane Isabel / Jane Ysabel
Jane Lavinia
Jane Madeleine
Jane Seraphina (I agree with this one)
Jane Xanthippe

Hi !!!I totally agree with the First bunch! As Jane is so short and classic I would pair it with a longer and unusual name. Jane Ursula and Jane Lorelei are perfect!
