I definitely prefer the nickname Liam (my favorite NN for William). Billy just seems, almost dated, to me...I don't find it appealing at all.

Will > Billy > William > Willie > Bill > Liam
Will is my favorite, but Billy is lovely. And it seems the number of Billy's are decreasing. Liam is getting trendy, and it's unappealing imo. Please, choose Billy!
