Emma vs. Emily
Which would you choose for a daughter and why? What would you use as a middle name? What would you name a brother and sister? **After supposedly dying on January 30, 2007 after eating tainted pancakes, she returned several times as an angel and was revealed to be alive on May 17, 2011. )**

EmmaThe meaning's cooler, and I'm fond of Ermintrude and Emmanuelle, which seem adjacent to it. I don't think it's one of those names people liked because it stands out, so popularity didn't affect my opinion of it.
The Emma I know has siblings Abigail and Philip.I'd name a sibling something like Adela, June, Naomi, Theresa, Andrea, Jessamine, Noa, Audra, Cassandra, Willow, Ivy, Zora, Zoe, Lily, Asher, Eli, Isaac, Noah, Jesse, Gabriel, Daniel, Lucas, Reuben...Emma, Adela, and Jesse
Emma, June, and Gabriel
Emma, Lily, and Asher
Emma, Theresa, and Daniel
Emma, Zoe, and Lucas
Emma, Andrea, and Eli
Emma, Cassandra, and Noah
Emma, Zora, and ReubenEmma Zoe, Adela June, Ivy Cassandra Emma Bluebell Astraea
Emma Antigone
Emma Theresa

Emma. I love Jane Austen's story "Emma". It doesn't help that most girls named Emily or Emilie that I know are not particularly nice.Emma Charlotte.Sister: Isabella.Brother: Oliver.

Honestly, I like both. If they weren’t so horribly overused, I feel sure I’d love both. However, because of its overuse, Emma just sounds like a noise to me now. Emily at least feels like a name, albeit one made boring.Emily Thomasina Siblings: Magnus and Lavinia

Emma. It’s really been growing on me for some reason. Emily is just boring to me.

Emily. I used to go back and forth on which I liked more, but I prefer Emily, not that I’d use either. There would have to be a pretty unusual and interesting mn for me, with such a classic fn! Maybe something like Emily Sunshine, Emily Juniper, Emily Marigold or Emily Zinnia. Sibling ideas are: Emily Sunshine, Jonathan Wolf and Louisa Maple
Emily Juniper, Samuel Fox and Hannah Patience
Emily Marigold, Jack Cedar and Charlotte Opal
Emily Zinnia, Joshua Onyx and Alice Clover

Emily Marigold! Oh I absolutely love it! If only we used names in full. Emily’s not boring anymore at all with Marigold by its side. Adorable.

We have very different tastes. Emily Marigold sounds like a classroom snitch, to me.

Haha, maybe I like the snitch aesthetic ;)

Always Emily - no doubt at all. I like the rhythm, and it's always seemed much more interesting than Emma. Emma and Anna and Ellie and Bella - all deeply boring, Emily Alice Jean

I’m gonna have to go with Emma. Ema is cool too. Emily is a decent name I guess, but annoyingly overused and it’s not the best name. Emma is just simple, classic, and actually really cute. I probably wouldn’t use it as a first name, but if a partner loved it so much, I would actually use it as a middle name. I also really like the meaning. Emily’s meaning is pretty “meh”. Emily I wouldn’t use as a middle name. 1. Emma Lilith Belle (Or maybe just Emma Lilith)
2. Emma Diane
3. Emma Rosalie

Emma. It’s less common for kids in the UK (it was very popular in the 80s and early 90s). Emma Caroline. Siblings Elizabeth Sophia and George Alexander.

Both are too popular now. Since Emilia isn't here, I'll go with Emma - it doesn't sound 80's/90's.Emma Genevieve. Emma Temperance also sounds lovely. A long middle name for Emma is ideal.Since Emma is up there in the popularity chart, I'd choose other popular names as well. A brother to Emma would be Levi and a sister Ruby.
