What would you name a child today if...
1. You were just using names you love -- with zero regard to pop culture associations, a partner's choices, popularity or unpopularity, or what you're afraid the world would think of said name? (A name in name utopia.)2. You were using names you're very fond of, but had to consider a partner's tastes who were more conservative than yours/what the popularity charts say in either direction/the culture of where you live/the way the world may treat an actual little human with that name? (A name for the "real world". It can be the same as the above, if you feel the above combinations would work out.)Feel free to use feminine, masculine, or neutral-associated names. One to five combinations per question.

1. For boys, Conrad would be for the first, Casimir for the second, and Ozias for the third. For girls, I don't really have an order of preference, but I'd want to use Lucia (loo-see-ah), Romilly, Rafaela, Sylvie, and/or Ada.2. If it has to be popular, I'd go with Gabriel, Isaac, or Daniel for the boys. For the girls, I'd use Eva and/or Aurora.

just doing scenario nr 1 :)Boys:
- Oscar Leonidas
- Ramses Hero
- Sargon Maximus
- Lotus Rex Girls:
- Nova Ravenna
- Anemone Amaryllis
- Saga Nemesis
- Era WinterWhy I can't really use these: Husband vetoed Oscar :( He says it's a dog's name... Ramses might actually be used, but I'm not sure if I'm brave enough to do so when push comes to shove. I like both Sargon and Saga pronounced with G like in 'jogging', but in my language the G is pronounced differently and then I don't think Sargon & Saga sound that good any more. I love Lotus on a boy, but I'm afraid people will see it as a girls name and he might get teased because of it. I love Nova, but it got too popular and my brother in law named his daughter this. Anemone is too complicated to pronounce and I think people might shorten it to Anne regularly. Besides that my husband is iffy about Era, I'd never use it bc it's too similar to Elva (my daughter). For MNs: I'd use honouring MNs in real life.

For number 1 for a girl i'd use
Rowena, Wilhelmina, Mavis or Thomasina Hubby doesn't like Rowena, Mavis or Thomasina :( Maybe : Thomasina Rowena MavisFor a boy:
Romulus, Ignatius, Percival, Casper, Emmanuel (some of these he likes)Maybe: Romulus Percival CasperFor number 2, my husband loves unusual old names as much as I do, but if I was going for 'conservative' or 'popular' i'd go with maybe:
Julian Gabriel or Gabriel Felix for a boyfor a girlEleanor Isobel or Audrey Annabel

I love all of the fanciful feminine names, especially Thomasina. For boys, I love Romulus, Ignatius, and Percival and really like Casper.

1. Probably one of the girls' names I like that my husband doesn't, such as Susanna / Susannah, Louisa, Martha, Jemima, Esther, Miriam or Eliza. We agree on boys' names so they would be the same as 2. Middle names would honour family members.2. Samuel, Alexander, George or Arthur for a boy, Elizabeth / Elisabeth, Helena, Katherine or Eleanor for a girl. Middle names Henry and Sophia.

1. You were just using names you love -- with zero regard to pop culture associations, a partner's choices, popularity or unpopularity, or what you're afraid the world would think of said name? (A name in name utopia.)I'd definitely consider using Annabel, Grace, Emily, and Isabel. I'd consider certain surnames for boys like Wilder, Wildes, Gardner, Sullivan. 2. You were using names you're very fond of, but had to consider a partner's tastes who were more conservative than yours/what the popularity charts say in either direction/the culture of where you live/the way the world may treat an actual little human with that name? (A name for the "real world". It can be the same as the above, if you feel the above combinations would work out.)Very few people have more conservative naming taste than I do. I might not use Virginia or Louisa or Sally if I were really worried about people's reactions, just because they seem a bit stodgy/old fashioned.

1.
- Sylvie Rosaline Fay
- Flora Mélisande
- Adela Marguerite
- Sébastien Marius
- Arthur Maximilian 2.
- Sylvie Rosaline (Fay) - Unsure of the two middles bc it's the only combo I like w/ a second MN
- Flora Mélisande
- Adela Marguerite
- Sebastian Marius - I'm unsure of an alternative spelling to such a popular name in the US plus I have no French heritageSO is not fond of Maximilian and only likes Arthur as a middle name. The girl names would stay the same, they're our top three we have agreed on. If I were having a daughter on my own I'd have a harder time deciding between the three! SO likes Sylvie the most right now so if we had a daughter today she'd most likely be Sylvie.

1. Lily Anastasia
2. Lily Anastasia :PLuckily my boyfriend and I both love Lily and Anastasia. I would have to think about whether we would call her Anastasia or Lily. I love both names equally and it would be so hard to decide. For a second daughter it would be more difficult. I don't like any other names nearly as much as Lily and Anastasia. I like Clara but my boyfriend doesn't. He likes Sofia but I think it's too common. I guess we could agree on Naomi, Serafina, Aurora, Annabel, Marie or Ilinca but I'm not crazy about any of those even though I like them all. For a boy I hardly like anything I guess I could warm up with David which he loves.Oh and if I really could choose anything without taking anyone's opinion or strange questions into consideration I guess I would choose a Japanese name for our second daughter. I love their gorgeous meanings! Or an English name that doesn't really work where I live.Grace Felicia - not sure how he would like that
Rose Victoria - I think he would like this combo. It works in France but not so much in Austria, it might get pronunced differently (Rose that is, Victoria works well)
Riko Eleanor
Saki Annabel
Sachiko Grace
