My boys list was easy to make, although short, as I've always liked these names. The girls list, however, is more thrown together. I had a very hard time compiling the girls list and I'm not quite feeling it! Maybe I'll get it together by next month!

JulietI was going to suggest Shaelyn to you, until I realized you had but Shealyn in the boys' names section. I'm sorry, but I don't find anything remotely masculine about Shealyn or Vyvyan. :-(
vote up1
That's fine. I have heard that from people before.
However, in their/my defense:Vivian was a boy's name before it was a girl's name. Vyvyan is how Oscar Wilde's son's name was spelled and I just like it for great and terrible reasons I can't explain.Shealyn has been on my boys' list for a decade now. I have known two male Shealyns and one male Shayley in my life (and a handful of Sheas.) It's masculine enough for me. I'm not into to "macho" sounds anyway.
vote up1
Didn't know that about Wilde...I guess you learn something new every day! Vyvyan Wilde does look pretty awesome on paper, though.

I prefer not to say exactly, because it's a little town where the grandparents live and most people haven't heard of it anyway. It's right on the coast. It's been alright, but I'm here for work and it's been full on- 13 days straight of working sometimes up till 11 or 12 at night, and then starting all over again at 8 am, with 3 kids who are constantly melting down due to too much sugar, too little sleep and no routine. So I'm glad it's nearly over TBH! I head to Rome this evening then on to Coratia in the morning...yay, holidays :)And yay for someone liking Sonnet :)Xanthe is the best girls name of all time ;)

Iris Aurelia - Absolutely stunning.Seraphine Lilac - I wonder if Seraphina Lilac would flow better, because the "een" and "l" sounds sort of run into each other. But otherwise pretty.Dahlia Juliette - Pretty, but very "l-heavy" (and both in the first syllable).Giselle Ariadne - Beautiful.Thea Melisande - Ditto. May I also suggest Téa Mélisande?Azalea Camille - Don't generally like Azalea, but the combo flows. What about Zinnia Camille?Leta Fleur - I think Leda Fleur looks nicer, but it's still a pretty name.Veda Naomi - Very nice; strong yet elegant.Milena Tess - Pretty. I think of Tess as the universal feminine middle name (more than Marie).Amara Celeste - Pretty; very soft.Lucian Matthias - Neither name is my style.Archer Hadrian - It's posh, but I don't mind posh at all.Julian Fox - Nice. Fox is a cool, underused name.Orion Thomas - I really like this one!Asa Sebastian - Both names go very well together.Nicolas Zephyr - I like Nico as a nickname, but the 's' and 'Z' run into each other.Leo / Leonidas - The latter is probably my favorite "full" name for Leo, though I think I like Leo best on his own.Maximus - Gladiator. Sorry, that's all I can think of... Well, that and "gluteus maximus." :-(Evander - Once I can shake the Evander Holyfield association, it's a very usable name.
Altogether, you have some really nice combos!

vote up1
My love for Vaughn started a couple months ago after hearing a character on a show named Yvonne, get called Vonne for short. I've liked Vonnie as a NN for awhile but lately have been especially into short, ambiguous sort of names for girls (see Gem)... it's probably just a phase ;) but that basically lead to my current infatuation with the idea of Vaughn on a girl.

It is nice to see Carly on someone's list. It is one of those names that was already kind of dated for my age group as it was quite popular for girls around 5 years older than me but I've always really liked it. It is so bright and friendly. I infinitely prefer it to Charlie for a girl, which is horrifically popular over here at the moment as a nickname for Charlotte and as a stand alone name.I also really like Callahan. So suave.
