Every once in awhile, I'll climb out of the woodwork and respond to one of these! Here goes (in no particular order)...1) Penelope
2) Quinn
3) Clara
4) Gwendolyn
5) Freya
6) Daisy
7) Odette
8) Elena
9) Violet
10) Vivian
*HM: Cora1) River
2) Jack
3) Grey
4) Ezra
5) Augustus
6) ...As always, I'm so clueless as far as boys names. Dang!

I'm the same way. I came to BtN to widen my boy name pool, which happened... but now my girl's name pool has doubled.I love Ezra, though.Of your girls I love Clara, Freya, Daisy, Violet, & Penelope. I like Gwendolyn, but I seem to have a really distaste for -lyn spellings. I like Gwendolen a bit better. :)
vote up1
I love your style!Matilda & Violet are on my list, too, so I'll look at your others.I always love Catherine. It is unusable for me, but I love it. I think Flora is amazing, too, though the DH has vetoed that.I love seeing Benedict. I hope it can be usuable for Americans again (hello, Mr. Cumberbatch).Jude is a long time favorite, and I love seeing Edgar. I want all the Ed- names to make a comeback (Edward, Edmund, etc.).

Elva and Lyra are stellar... I think they would make a great sibset too.
Briseis is one of those names that I always forget, but love when I see it, and Fiera just has so much personality that I hope to hear someone actually used it one day. It seems that Jasper and Ezra have made it onto a few lists this month. But, they are really image evoking names, and I think they are nice choices. Of your list though - I think that I like I like Arthur, Percy and Scarlett the best today.

Bonnie! You never see that name anymore. I am coming to appreciate it more and more (my mom wanted to name me that). I also have a soft spot for Bridget, Viviana, Martha and Gillian... all have been on my lists at some point. But, I think my favorite of your list for girls is Iris... so simple, sweet and strong. Clark, Vincent and Wesley are classy. I like to think that after these kre8tive trends are over, people will revert to classy names like these en masse.

Your girls names are perfect examples of dated charm. I can't even pick a favorite. But, I do have to say that I wish Isabelle wasn't so popular so that I could use Isobel myself.
vote up1
Ooo, Moses. You don't see people loving that name everyday. I like it a lot though. Leonidas and Valentin also make a strong and handsome statement... and I am partial to Julius as it is Dh's name. It seems that Clara and Matilda are getting some love this month too, but I happen to like Ruby, Anneliese and Lucia from your list a lot as well.
vote up1
It looks like you like those sophisticated names! I really like Helen, Joanna and Agnes, and think you can never go wrong with Katherine. Your girls list is a strong one, with all of them being both classy and excellent modern choices, even if they are dated. Your guys list seems to be the same, and I really like to see people going back to Jack, James and classics like Benjamine and Samuel. Strong and popular choices for a reason!

But, your stand out name for the girls is Enid for me. So short, simple and snazzy. Corin! I love this name. I also really like Llyr, Wesley and Tobias from your list.

I really like your style. There is not one name on this list that I would not consider myself. Alba really deserve more use (though I will admit that I prefer Rosalba in many cases). Maeva is just lovely, and Iris, Zelda and Lilac should be far more loved than they are. Wren on a boy is fantastic, and Jules, Atlas and Icarus are great statement names... It almost seems like you are a classic sci-fi fan though, since many of these names seem to remind me of Asimov or Heinlen characters.
vote up1
I really appreciate that. I always worry people will think my tastes are a bit off. It's funny you would say that about sci-fi as I'm not much of a fan at all. To me, the names on my list have a more natural, earthy vibe without all being nature names and then literary and mythological connections feature more prominently for boys.I'll be doing a bit of reading though. Maybe a bit of Asimov or Heinlen could help me expand my boy's list. Thanks so much!

Cassius is a top name of mine (eclipsed only by Cassian), and I find Torin, Corin, Jules, Francis.... you know what - I find your whole guys list to be full of refreshing choices. All of those names deserve some real life limelight, and I would love to see any of them in use.

LuciusThis is going to sound weird but your lists remind me if like I'd gone into a parallel universe and met my alternate and we were very similar, only different in small ways, and this would totally be her list. lol! It's so, so similar to a lot of my favorites on my PNL, yet different.

Haha, that is great! I know what you mean! You have a beautiful PNL. :)

really likeing the Julius inclusion! (my DH's name)Your list has a bunch of just simply sweet names. Eve, Cordelia and Fiona or Phoebe I could see as a sibset. Leo, Silas and Asa are just classy... and I have a soft spot for Julius obvi.

Cuthbert! Such lively pizazz! Totally want to see a Virgil and Cuthbert sibset!Eulalia is beyond sweet, I love EU-names.
Avis and Beryl should really be more popular imo... they define simple charm to me. I should add Hester to that too.

Hey Grant and Howard are on your lists! That is great. They get a lot of flak in my area as "old" names, but I think they are handsome. Asa is also interesting and Alec is chic. Your lady-list is fantastic. Eglantine, Dagmar and Hazel are names I would totally use myself (had I DH's agreement). Mabel is so sweet and both Luna and Zoe are adorable choices.

Mina! I love to see this. Zephyra is also quite lovely. You never hear this name, and it has so much personality! Both Eben and Corentin are great... I haven't really heard of them before, and yet I find them handsome immediately.

I love Remy, August and Gabriel. My friend has a 4 yr old Remy. He is super cute.Yay Iselin :D From the girls I love Lyra, Winter (my favourite season name), Zephyrine & Iselin. Haven't heard Eseld before, I'm off to check that one out.

Great eye for flow!Penelope Wren is just adorable... and both Sabrina Charlotte and Vivian Elise look like something I would choose myselve.
I also love to see Iris on lists. It doesn't get enough credit for being beautiful, simple and having fantastic imagery. Cassandra Lily is just the essence of sweet too. Your boys names have a great combo of soft masculinity. They are all lovely, but Dominic Edgar and Nathaniel Harris caught my eye as exceptionally well-flowed.

Thank you!I, too, wish Iris got more love in the real world (where I'm at, anyway) because it really is a great name.

From your boys list I like Adrian, Dominic, Rhys Owen Grey, and Wesley Merrick. I love all of your girls combos! The only one I'm not particularly digging is Anastasia Hera.

Anastasia Hera - ooohhh, this is so fun and pretty
Cassandra
Elena Caroline - are you a fan of TVD? I half-expected this to be the name my sister would use for her daughter lol
Penelope Wren - cute
Charlotte

Never watched it.TVD means "The Vampire Diaries," right? I've never watched it, but some of my family members watch both that and "The Originals," which I think is a spinoff. Anyway, I know Elena is a character on there, but I didn't know Caroline was used also.I'm also vacillating between Elena Caroline and Elena Josephine.
vote up1
Yeah, TVD is The Vampire Diaries. Elena is the main but her best friend (and, frankly, one of the best characters on the show) is Caroline. Not that they're so unusual that it'd be weird to see them together otherwise, it just stood out to me because of all the jokes we had with my sister that that would be the combo she'd use lol

Mars - so cool

I like many of these. Viola and Lilia deserve more use, such pretty and simple names. I am glad to see some Adelaide love, though I know it is gaining popularity. I also happen to like Carolina a lot better than Caroline, and I always forget about it. Roman and Maxim are such strong names.... I think it would be cool to meet either today.

I like the cultural clash in your list. Many of your boy's names are favorites of mine. Victor especially. Veronica is our top name right now, but I also recently realized how pretty Anastasia really is. Caroline, Marian and Katherine are such classics to me. Nice lists.

Glad to know someone else loves Victor like I do.

Lots of classics in your lists!Gabriel is a top favorite of mine as well. I also like Thomas, Samuel, Damien (used to be 'meh' on this but Batman's son, Damien Wayne, won me over to the name lol), Victor, and Edward.Josephine is lovely but I prefer the French Josiane, and all the rest of your favorite girl names are lovely too. I'm reminded how much I love Anastasia actually, and I can see my sister using it if she has another baby girl!
