What would you name your kids using your grandparents names?
Either in combos or otherwise

My grandparents are:
Brenda Gale / Gail (I'm not sure the spelling)
Thomas Wilton
Louise Avis or Avis Louise (I would love to see this woman's birth certificate because no one including herself is sure the order. She's gone by both names.)
Charlie Clayton
I would use Charlie, but Charlie is also my sister's name so not going to happen.
I would use Thomas for a middle name if I ever had twins.
Louise is cool, but Avis is just whatever.
I would use Gale on a boy maybe. Like in Hunger Games.
Overall, I'm not a big fan of their names.

If I used my grandfathers' names: Philip Raymond. I would be very happy with this.
With my grandmothers': Evelyn Jeannette. Aesthetically it's fine, but my grandmother Jeannette was not exactly a family member I would name after. I would love to use Evelyn, though, especially as Evelyn Patricia (Patricia is my mother).

For a girl I'd go Marlene Elizabeth.
One of my grandfathers legally changed his name from Ranjit to Chris. I wouldn't just want to name a kid Chris, so I'd do Christopher, which actually love. My other grandfather is Victor. Even though they don't go together, there are no variants of Victor I like I'd still make it the middle name. I wouldn't even give a thought to using Ranjit.
So for a boy Christopher Victor.

Alma Joyce and Neil Raymond / Nellie Grace and Denis
Tbh, the only grandparent I would want to name a child after would be my maternal grandmother, Alma Joyce. Unfortunately I don't really fancy either name! We had thought about using Rejoyce as a mn when we were pregnant last time, had we been pregnant with a DD. We also considered using the initials AJ, but didn't go with it obviously. We also thought about using names from my grandmother's family tree. If we were to have another child, we would definitely consider honouring her in some way, as she is an amazing woman.

I wouldn't use the exact names, but offshoots of those names or names that honor those names.
Isabel Louisa (Both are after my grandmother Betty Lou, using alternatives of Elizabeth and Lou)
Susannah Jillian (Susannah honors my grandfather who always wanted a daughter named Susannah, still to this day, but his wife vetoed it. It also honors my other grandfather who had many Susannah's in the family. Jillian honors my grandmother Jill.)

My parents used this method to name me and my sisters. Their grandparents had some pretty awesome names.
Including one step-grandparent, I've got Lawrence Joseph, Suzanne (not 100% sure of her middle), Barbara Loyce, Malcolm Everett, and Judith (don't know her middle).
Joseph Lawrence
Joseph Malcolm - My parents would've used this for a boy, but they had all girls. I find it quite handsome.
Malcolm Lawrence
Barbara Suzanne - I dislike the possible nickname of Bobbie Sue, so this would never happen.
Barbara Judith
Judith Suzanne
I would never use Loyce because both my grandmother hated it and so does and my mother (it's her middle name too). I'm not terribly fond of Everett either, and other men in my family have it anyways.

Hendrik Andres Jaan - Jaan was my grandfather on my dad's side and Andres Jaan is my dad's name.
Astrid Melisande Lilli - Lilli is my grandmother on my mum's side.
Karina Elisabet Leili - Leili is my grandmother on my dad's side.
Johannes Ilmar Aleksander - Ilmar is my grandfather on my mum's side. Johannes was the name of two of my great-grandfathers and it is also my brother's middle name.

I wouldn't ...
I could possibly use my grandfather's name, Frank, as a middle name for a son, but otherwise, no. My grandmother's name was Patsy, not short for Patricia or anything, just Patsy, and I wouldn't wish that on anybody, no matter how much I loved my grandma.

Elizabeth & Stewart, Edward & Hilda
Daphne Hilda / Hilda Daphne
Theodore Gabriel Stewart
Percival Edward Claude
Winifred Betty / Winifred Isobel
Gabriel is the name that was possibly my grandfathers original FN (long complicated story). My grandmother Elizabeth always went by Betty, Isobel is a related name of Elizabeth and it was also her sisters name.

Ugh. Three out of four of my grandparents sucked at basic humanity, and the one good one has already been honored by my brother, so I'd never do this IRL. Since it's just pretend, I'd use Walter and Frances as second middle names.
Mine are very unattractive and I never even considered the idea.
Maternal: Otis Roy, Ida Lillian
Paternal: Calvin Ernest, Alberta Virginia
Lillian and Virginia are the best of the bunch but so NMS.
DH's family:
Maternal: Bascomb Claude, Ethel Watkins
Paternal: Boyd Evan, Carrie Nicholas
Re: Evan and Nicholas, I do like both. In fact, our second dd would have been named Nicholas had she been a boy although she wouldn't have been named after Carrie. I just couldn't think of any other name I liked better at the time. With Evan, there are several namesakes among the cousins so I'd never use it. Besides, dh never cared for it. All in all, these two are the best names among the gp by FAR.

Paternal: Thelma and Richard 'Dick'
Maternal: Rhonda (??) and Larry
So not likely, I don't like any of those names. I can't really remember what my maternal grandmother's name is either, she died when I was young and I was not close to that family at all. I know they used to call her Roda but I can't remember her real name for the life of me. I don't know any of their middle names either.

Maternal: Pirjo Briitta Johanna and Kari-Antti Tapio
Paternal: Liisa Emma Efia and Jorma Kyösti
My own name is Emma Johanna: it would be a beautiful thought to use Emma and/or Johanna as MNs, creating then a tradition starting from my grandmothers. But seriously, I've considered to name my possible daughter Effia (Efia is a misspelled form of it). I'm also fond of Tapio, which is an old Finnish name: it would still be quite a fresh name, because it's not so common these days.

Do you know what Effia means? I have a great aunt Effie, and I'm wondering if they're related now.
Mine
Maternal: Edward Francis & Mary Bridget
Paternal: Mary Eliza & Richard
So Edward Richard & Mary Eliza Bridget
I'm planning on honouring my maternal side by using my mother's maiden of Wason anyway
Maternal grandparents don't technically have middle names but have used confirmation names. Can't remember Dick's confirmation name

Thomas, since both my grandfathers were Toms. One grandmother was Florence Beatrice and the other was Sarah Anne; I named my real-life daughter Beatrice Elizabeth Anne, so either that counts (Elizabeth was after her step-grandmother) or I'm stuck with some combo of Florence and Sarah. Florence was wonderful and Sarah was a domineering pain in the neck (or a virtuous martyr, depending on who you talk to), but I don't much like Florence and Sarah sends me to sleep with its bland tedium. Sally would be nice, though. Sally Flora! And if little Thomas needed a mn, then I'd use William or David, from their surnames.
Mine are/were:
Britt Signe Margareta & Kjell Torsten Sixten
Siw Barbro & Jan
I plan on using Kjell as a middle name if I ever have a son. I would love to use Britt as well, but haven't found a perfect combo yet. I don't want to use my other grandparents names, but if I had to I'd use them as middle names.
Something like:
Noah Kjell Alexander
Agnes Britt Leonora
Alice Siw Matilda
William Jan Lucas

I absolutely wouldn't, but if I wanted to or had to...
Maternal - Marie Shirley Joan (called Shirley) & Derrol William
Paternal - Jentje "John" and Marta "Martha"
I'd use Joan-Marie and Martha, and Jentje, even though it's a form of Joan, whatever. And Errol if I can push it. Or forms of their names...like Marthe, I think Marthe is pretty hip. And Johannes.
Marthe, Marie, and Willem-Johannes. How's that for Euro overindulgence.

Wow, nice names for the grandmothers. I especially love Marigold and would love to see it used on anyone. That it is the name of a grandmother is especially appealing to me. It sounds so sweet and outright grandmotherly. ;-)
mistake
I read that as whether you would use your grandparents names...
