Yup, in Basque. Although I slightly prefer the English pronunciation, which would be something like eh-DERN.

Eartha! Yay, I'm not the only one who loves it.I like Balthazar, Carmine, Darius, Horatio, and Jerome.
Gratian seems really odd - reminds me of martian, Gracchus, and Grayson. I can't decide whether I dislike it or love it.
vote up1
I've seen you mention Eartha a couple of times! I've taken a liking to it more recently because of Eartha Kitt.I wish Balthazar didn't have this "creepy" aura about it. ...Idk I get the idea that, despite the biblical-ness of it, that people think it's spooky or something.
Gratian is odd lol. Puggish, I'd say. I prefer it pronounced "grah-TYEN"... even though that's wrong I guess. I like Gentian too.

Thank you! Others have made similar comments in the past. It wasn't intentional, but I definitely do love the romantic, fairy-tale feel. What can I say? I love frills. The frillier the better!

Capucine is blushed and gorgeous. Hortense is a secret love of mine.
Lavinia is a forever favorite of mine... I think I have a few of these that I no longer bother adding to lists because they never seem to change. I also think the Shakespearean Lavinia just adds to the beauty of the name, her tragedy is so horrific.Ambrose and Crispin are sweet. Actually all of these names have a sort of warm pinkish hue, very friendly! Maybe I'm lacking sleep lol.

Anarchy! Is there a specific reason you like this name? I'm just asking because it's so different than the other names you listed.Cindra, Genoa, and Winsome are all so interesting! Not names I would think of but I like them. Although Genoa brings to mind salami a bit... but only a bit lol! It's really nice sounding. Arianthe is excellent.
vote up1
I think Anarchy has a great meaning - "without ruler/master". An anarchist is someone who rejects hierarchy, it doesn't mean chaos! How does Genoa relate to salami? Is it a brand?
vote up1
Ah cool! I like anarchy as an idea lol, I agree with the basic principles of it. It's unfortunate that, as a word, it has this sort of "badass" quality about it. It's a nice sounding word.Genoa salami or Genovese... it's a specific kind of soft salami. I also think of genoise, a kind of cake. Genoa is just a foodie place!

Wowowow a very green, grassy, mossy, woody list!! I love that! Elspeth is flowery and fragrant and like princess-y. Florian is one of my all time favorites. First heard it in the excellent Soviet film "Come and See". I really like the Russian nickname, Florya. On Wikipedia it actually says Florian was most likely derived from the Latin flōrus which in early periods meant "yellow, blonde" and later meant "flowering"... hm!
