Each month I wonder how to do this... top 10 I would actually maybe use for a child, with the current partner I have? Top 10 favorites of the moment, or attempt at favorites of all time? This month I’m choosing names that keep coming into my mind and making me happy — pure delight and richness in a name. I’m starving for consonants these days, apparently. Damaris and Prisca (and many others) also bring much delight... I could do 20 easily for feminine names. I’m in a real appreciative mood of late.Adelheid

Verdandi*The form my great-great aunt had, supposedly. Probably what would be considered a misspelling. I wonder if it was ‘supposed’ to be ‘Ursel’? Her full name was Loeta Ursul, sister was Ulrica. I love it as is, pronounced ‘ur-SOOL’.Arkadios

I try to balance names that make me happy and have been coming to mind recently with all-time favorites, but (as you saw) I've basically started making a top 30, anyway. It makes it easier to track my whims vs real favs that way...although sometimes names I've loved forever still don't even make top 30 just because I know I'll remember them.I love:
Vashti
Verdandi
Mathilde (if French pronunciation)I like:
Angharad
Remedios
Mathilde (if German pronunciation)
Sonam - I think? never heard it before
Ursul - I've seen Ursule before
Cárthach
Fiachra
Rune
Taliesin
Tihomir - never seen this before; it's neat

I only first came across Emeran recently! It isn't in Behind the Name's database, but the name it's derived from, Emmeram, is in the database as a submitted name. It's an old German saint's name.

I love Agatha, Antigone, Eugenia, Flavia, Gertrude, Hestia, Leopoldine (so lovely and dramatic), Odile, Sybilla, Alois, Ambrose (will like more once I shake a current IRL association), Anselm (looove the sound), Bartholomew (the mew at the end is so sweet!), Bertram, Sigmund, and Wolfgang. I like Vivian too (especially on a guy) but it was oversaturated lately for me by 5 (!) different students of mine.

Same. My lists got a good shake up too. Malcolm Elliott is just gorgeous. Love it. I also love Wesley, and I'm sad that my SO vetoed it. Wes is such a cute nn. I love Arthur William. His initials would be AW (which I think is adorable). Asa Nathaniel, while not my style, is an objectively good combo. They pair very well together.I love so many of your feminine combos, but I especially love Aurelia Clarice, Miranda Catherine, Sabrina Vivian, Juliet Elise, and Penelope Wren. I, of course, love Genevieve too.

I like Cordelia, Katya, Georgiana, Zoe, and Louisa. I love Andrew, Nikolai, Nicholas, Magnus, Leo, and Henry. Aloysius is so interesting to me. So happy to see love for Gregory. It is probably one of my absolute favorite names ever. I know I’m somewhat biased, as it is my sons name (he is 12) but I still just love the handsomeness and d fashioned-ness of it.

I 100% agree on the girl-name struggle. If I have more the one girl, I'm in trouble!I love Arthur, Conrad (so glad to see that someone else loves this one), Dominic, Sebastian, Celine, Elise, and Rafaela.
