9. James "Jamie"
10. ColinEdit: Need to do a comparison to my February list...
On the girl's list, Edith, Eira, and Iona moved up, and Ginevra moved down.
And on the boy's list, Morgan moved way up, James moved up one, Colin went down, and Charles went away, making Rory a new one. Benjamin moved down, but those top 3 are so close that it doesn't really matter.

I love your style too. I love classic and traditional names.

I love your style! I especially love Elizabeth, Margaret, Susannah, James, Peter, Arthur, Henry, William and Thomas. I'm coming around to Lucy, I've just started liking it.
vote up1
Thank you, CarolineThank you, Caroline :)I have just recently come to the realization that I have a very grounded classic taste ("dull and cold," as they call it here)--AND I'M NOT AFRAID TO SHOW IT! :-DWhat do you think about Theodora and Imogen being grouped in with the classics, by the way?

This message was edited 4/3/2008, 10:00 AM

Good for you. You should never be afraid to show your tastes. That's what everyone is here for.
Know yourself, be yourself, 's what I always say.
vote up1
Well, I have very grounded classic taste too. Sometimes I like frilly names though, like Annabel and Aurelien. Hmmm... Imogen and Theodora. I'd call Theodora classic, and I really like it. I've never loved Imogen. To be honest I'd never heard of it until I saw some teen movie with Julia Stiles and her name was Imogen. I now know that it's popular in the UK. I can't say I'd call it a classic though, I guess I'd call it old fashioned and I like that it was created by Shakespeare, but then again so was Jessica and I hate that.
vote up1
I could have sworn I'd done this before but apparently not. Guess better now that never. My top ten for now are:Elizabeth
Miriam (toss-up between this, Meryem, and Maryam, really)
Rachael
Alberta
Roberta
Thomasin
Frances
Maria
Christophine
TheresiaWilliam
Lawrence
Richard
Boris
Karl
Koloman
Anthony
Francis
Douglas
RaymondI have more boys' names that are constant favorites than girls, so that list is narrowed down by a bit. Some of those favorites are more loyalty than preference at the moment. :-) I am currently head over heels for Rainer but it'll be a while before I let it really sneak onto a favorites list. With current favorite combos, sure, but not quite yet as a favorite in its own right. It would've bumped either Douglas or Raymond and I'm not having any of that. :-PFor my own memory's sake and because I really don't have anything going on today, these are my next top ten for boys. My girls list doesn't go that far.Rainer
Dominic
Peter
