My taste in masculine names honestly doesn’t seem to have changed a whole lot! There are four survivors (Sebastian, Valentine, Magnus and Alexander) and Matthias and Tyrian are still on my PNL too. I seem to have moved away from more “foreign” names such as Rémy and Rune, though. As for girls, the only survivors are Ingrid and Juliette (although I prefer the English form now), although Nika and Florence are still on my PNL. I remember really having a thing for short Finnish names (Enni, Lumi and Essi) which I don’t really love anymore. I’m not big on Lux anymore, and I can’t make my mind up about Pavia, which is simultaneously really pretty and kind of ugly to me!

So there was a little bit of moving & shaking, mostly in my feminine list (as per usual). In the masculine list Cameron & James left in favor of Raphael (old favorite, and was a middle last month) and Julian, which - in looking back on my polls - hasn't been among my top names in years. In the feminine list Cassia, Elise, Briella, and Naomi (a name I will still heartily consider) left in favor of Eleanor, old favorites Maxine & Francesca, and Hera - the last of which I am finally considering seriously after regarding her as a GP for a very, very long time. (And I use the short-E pronunciation, or more like "hair," than the provided English pronunciation with the long-E.)

My fascination with Luna is only growing - a name I used to really dislike. It's trending hard, though, and just broke the Top 20, so I hope it doesn't become overused.

Some of these don't surprise me at all: Richard is a perennial favorite; Nicholas is pretty much my all-time favorite masculine name; I loved Everly (which isn't even hyperlinked in the original archived post because it wasn't in the database yet!) before she was cool (really, it didn't break the Top 1000 in the U.S. until 2012); and Philippa was a mainstay before I discovered Phyllida.
